Whole grains are an ancient food that has been eaten for more than 12,000 years. It is estimated that whole grains like wheat and rice nourish about one third of the worlds population. There are many studies that easily prove that eating whole grains whether it be bread or pasta may lower the risk of developing many chronic diseases including gout.

And hes going to make millions off of lies!!! The fact is only 1% of the general population is allergic to gluten and usually those that are allergic suffer from celiac disease who are sensitive to gluten. So 99% of yous can go on and continue eating whole grains and you dont have to worry that its bad for your health.

The Gut Microbiome And Food

It is evident that your gut microbes play a significant role in determining which foods are healthy for you. Each persons gut bacteria respond differently to different foods. Therefore, the best path to a healthy diet is identifying the nutrient-dense foods that go well with your gut bacteria and including them in your diet to maintain healthy blood sugar levels, gut health, and overall well-being.

Consuming foods which are unhealthy for your gut can cause an imbalance in your gut bacteria leading to improper nutrient absorption from foods, which can leave you feeling fatigued. High fructose corn syrup should be avoided.Upon further research I discovered that it is now being used in almost everything. I even found it in cans of diced tomatoes. Choose regular sugar or regular corn syrup they are chemically different and do not have the problem of increasing the production of purines as does HFCS.

    Weight loss has been shown to improve insulin resistance and therefore reduce uric acid levels in the blood. However, it is important to avoid strict diets such as low-carbohydrate and high-protein diets. These may increase consumption of purines, a compound that breaks down into uric acid. Additionally, rapid weight loss through strict dieting can result in breakdown of tissue. This can temporarily cause a rise in uric acid levels. A gradual, safe weight loss of 1-2 lbs a week can help to achieve an optimal body weight.

    Yeast Gout And Sourdough

    I recently started baking with fresh ground whole wheat flour that I grind myself and bakers active yeast. After my husbands gout flared badly in his ankle, research showed that bakers and brewers yeast are the worst for gout! I was thinking sourdough may be the answer but it also produces yeast, even though it is not the same yeast as Bakers.

    Does anyone have any info on sourdough yeast and gout?

    I am trying to find if it is just the bakers yeast, Sacchyromyces cerevisiae that causes the gout to flare or ALL yeasts.
